Thanks for joining WikiTree. I'm a WikiTree Mentor available to answer any questions or help solve any issues you may have.
How To Use WikiTree is a good starting point, and the Help Index is an important place to find out how to do most tasks.
Do you have Royal Ancestors? They are already here on Wikitree! Rather than create duplicate profiles for them, please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their profiles.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask me via my profile page.
P.P.S. I notice you have a GEDCOM badge. WikiTree Help pages give lots of information about the process; a good starting place is Before you import a GEDCOM. And here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process, including screenshots, that you might find helpful.
P.S. I've found the best way to research my family in WikiTree is to post what I know and connect to existing profiles when I find them. Synergy might help bust through your brick walls, as it has for me: Because WikiTree has only one profile for each person, the further back you go in your ancestry, the more likely cousins will find you and help out. And any Wiki Genealogist can edit "Open" profiles (over 200=open). The more info in the profiles, the more likely you'll make connections.
I'm glad you found us. To become a full member (aka Wiki Genealogist), youll need to sign the Honor Code. For a list of helpful links, click my name and check out the "Greeter" section-especially the Sources links and the link to my fellow greeter Debby, who has helpful information on her profile page also.
If you get stuck on anything and can't find an answer in WikiTree Help or How to Use WikiTree, you can post to G2G or give me a holler.
Thank you for joining our collaborative tree! Remember that our mission is to build a global tree with just one profile per person, so please look for duplicates before adding a profile.
I've done some research on family history of the immediate family and ancestors for 3 of my grandparents, but I have still yet to discover the background of the 4th. I am especially interested in my Matriline, Haplogroup J1c3e1.
I see you have uploaded your DNA for comparison, we have a project for DNA where a lot of great new things are happening. If you are interested and would like to check it out, go to the FIND link top right of your profile page, select PROJECTS from the drop down box, and then select the link for the DNA project. It has information listed that might be of interest to you, and feel free to contact any of the members if you would like additional details.
