Biography
Guðrún was born about 1754. She was the daughter of Guðmundur Mikaelsson and Kristín Jónsdóttir.
Om Marts 22 1777 at Óspakseyri church engaged and on Marts 24 the same year married, Magnús Ólafsson at Óspakseyri, 26 years old and Guðrún Guðmundsdóttir from Þóroddsstaðir. His witness: his father Ólafur Hallsson at Óspakseyri. Hers: her father, Guðmundur Michaelsson at Þóroddsstaðir.[1]
In the parish registry in Feb 1781 Guðrún, 27 years old, is a farmers wife, living with her husband and daughter at Gröf, Óspakseyrar parish.[2]
In the parish registry in Marts 1784 Guðrún, 30 years old, is a farmers wife at Gröf, Óspakseyrar parish. Living there with her husband and 3 children.[3]
In the parish registry in Marts 1788 Guðrún Guðmundsd., 34 years old at Þóroddstaður, Óspakseyrar parish.[4]
She passed away on Aug 22 1799 in Broddanes, Fells parish. She had given birth to a daughter at noon the day before she died.[5]
