Biography

Esther Guion was born about 1715 in New York. She is the daughter of Lewis Guion and Dinah Deveaux. Esther married Charles Vincent who was born about 1710 at Yonkers, New York. He is the son of Charles Vincent and Rachel Vermilye. Charles Vincent was the Blacksmith for the Township of Eastchester, New York. He was mentioned with several civil duties in early town records. Charles Vincent, John Townsend, Thomas Butler and Edward Burling were named road commissioners for the Town of Eastchester, New York on Jan 1, 1770. Esther was mentioned as "Esther wife of Charles Vincent" in the will of her grandfather, Frederick Devoose Sr., written on Jan. 23, 1741.[1][2]

Deed — Charles and Hester Vincent to Charles Guion 8 May, 1784, land in Eastchester.[2]
