Biography

Cader was born about 1820 in South Carolina to Asa Guin and Mary Celeste (Holly) Guin. Shown on the 1850-1870 Census in Chesterfield, South Carolina residing with his wife and children, employed as a "Farmer" in the "Agriculture" industry. [1][2][3] He enlisted as a Confederate soldier on the 2nd of November 1862 and served in the 26th Infantry as 2nd Lietenant, Company D.[4][5] Cader died before 1880 since his mother, Mary lists Florence as her only living child on her Last Will. Also, his widow, Harriet Elvy was living with her son and his family on the 1880 Census.
