Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel-5 and Welf-80 appear to represent the same person because: Clear duplicate-merge into Welf per profile discussion
posted by Greg Lavoie
It appears that Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel-5 is a duplicate of this profile. I am looking to confirm which LNAB is more appropriate before proposing a merge.

Thanks Greg, neither of the current LNABs are appropriate. Guelph is the anglicised version of the German Welf, and the territorial designation should be Braunschweig not Brunswick, which is again the English version. According to naming standards, Welf is the most appropriate LNAB.

This is a profile that I've obviously adopted years ago and then missed correcting it. I'll change the LNAB of his profile to Welf and then the merge can go into this one.
