William Grylls was born about 1555 in Lanreath, Cornwall, England. His parents were William Grylls and Elizabeth Knight.
He married Katherine (or Catherine) Westlake. She was the daughter of Nicholas Westlake.
Together they had four children:
Mary Grylls, born about 1586, married John Lynne.
Joan Grylls, born about 1591, married John Berry.
William Grylls, born about 1594, married Alice Maynard.
???? Grylls, married William Byrch.
William passed away about 1612 in Lanreath, Cornwall, England.
Research Notes
I am finding it very difficult to find any sources for William Grylls or his spouse and children. I have compared the data in Visitations of Cornwall with FamilySearch and they marry up quite nicely. The one notable difference is the birth location. WikiTree shows Lanreath in Cornwall, whereas FS shows Tavistock in Devon. As far as I know the family moved from Tavistock to Lanreath but I don't know when. Unfortunately, FS has no relevant sources and few images available for these parishes.
I searched Ancestry but the data returned is inconsistent and in some cases contradictory so I have chosen to ignore it.
