Robert le Grosvenor was born in 1454 at Eaton, Cheshire, England.
Robert Grosvenor was the son of Robert Grosvenor of Etton and his wife, Joanne, daughter of Thomas Fitton of Gosworth, she was living in 17 Henry VI [1438-9].[1]
Alternatively, Robert was the son of Thomas Gravenor and his wife, —.[2] Thomas was the son of Robert (and wife not named) son of Rafe and his wife, — daughter and heir of — of Eaton.[2]
Robert's father predeceased his father, so Robert was heir to his grandfather, Rawlinge or Raffe Grosvenor of Etton, who was living in 25 Henry VI [1446-7].[1]
Robert married Katherine, daughter of William Norris of Speake,[2] or Speeke, Knight, in 8 Edward IV.[1]
Robert and Katherine had children:
Thomas, who died without having offspring,[2] married Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Hugh Calveley, Knight;[1]
Richard Grosvenor, who married Katherine,[2] daughter and coheir of Richard Cotton of Ridware, co Stafford, Richard was living in 24 Henry VII, died 27 July, 34 Henry VIII [1542];[1]
Janne, who was married to Nicholas Leighe of Eighleige [High Leigh];[1] and
Katharen, who was married to 1) Thomas Houghe of Leighton, and 2) Sir William Venables baron of Kinderton.[1]
Robert Grosvenor was living in 9 Henry VII [1493-4].[1]
Robert died in 1497 at Eaton, Cheshire.
