A former Battle Ground and Vancouver resident, Monica Teresa Parker, died Friday, July 19, 2002, at Southwest Washington Medical Center. She was 95.
A homemaker who enjoyed gardening and was an active member of St. James Catholic Church, Mrs. Parker was born June 24, 1907, in Battle Ground.
She was the granddaughter of Irish immigrants who had established residency in the "New Dublin" area of Battle Ground.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D., who died in 1970, and a son, Paul A.
Survivors include one daughter, Joan Larsell of Fairview, Ore.; one son, James of Fairview; 18 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
A rosary will begin at 11:45 a.m. and a funeral Mass at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday at St. James church. Burial will follow in St. James Acre Cemetery. Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
