Biography

Eileen Griffiths was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)

Margaret Eileen Griffiths was born in 1894 at Kew, Victoria, Australia. Eileen, as she was known, was the daughter of Welsh emigrant, Thomas Griffiths, and Delia McNamara.[1]

Eileen passed away within a few years of her parents, unmarried, on 20th March 1949 at Melbourne.[2] The Age published the following: "On March 20 (suddenly), Margaret Eileen, dearly beloved daughter of the late Brigadier-General and Mrs. T Griffiths, loved sister of Mollie. R.I.P. Privately Interred from Sacred Heart Church, St. Kilda. March 23."[3]
