Biography
Ellyn Gresham, was the third daughter of John Gresham of Holt in Norfolk, Lord Mayor of London in 1547. [1] Her mother was Mary Ipswell.[2]
Ellyn married Sir William Uvedale, son of Arthur Uvedale of Wickham in Hampshire. She bore her husband 2 sons and a daughter.[1]
In the will of her father, Sir John Gresham, proved in 1556 she was recorded as Ellyn Uvedale, wife of William Uvedale[3]
Ellyn passed away in 1567. [1]
