Biography
Joseph Grénier was born on 28 Jul 1845 and was baptized the next day in Saint-Bruno parish in Van Buren, Aroostook, Maine, United States. He was the son of Charles Dugrinier, woodworker, and Marguerite Deschenes. of this parish. Sponsors at Joseph's baptism were Dominique Michaud and Genevieve Bernier; neither sponsor signed the register.
At age 25 Joseph married Helene Michaud in May 1871 in New Brunswick, Canada. There were four known children born into this marriage.
