I am a novice at genealogy, but have been doing research for many years, including DNA testing with 2 different sites that mostly confirmed what I already knew, that my paternal line is primarily Scottish and my maternal line is primarily Finnish. However, I would like to expand further into my maternal grandfather's lineage, surname Scudder.
I've lived in Denver, Colorado since 1995. Prior to Colorado, I lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico from 1991 to 1995. I was born and raised in Michigan.
I currently work in IT as a software analyst for medical software. I am a musician, singer and composer, primarily focused in classical and Celtic music.
On 12 August 1654, marriage bans were published in Dundee for Bessie Linn and James Greg [sic]. Sadly, they both died less than five years later, and whether or not children were born to them is unknown. On 24 January 1659, testaments were recorded in Brechin for James Greig, mariner in Dundee, and Elizabeth Lyne, his relict [widow].
