Mary was born about 1818 and baptised on the 5th November 1818 at All Saints, Stisted, Essex, England, the daughter of William Green[1] and Sarah Green[2].
Mary had illegitimate daughter Sarah Green in 1837, the probable father being a son of the next door neighbour William Ogles.
In 1838 Mary was the informant of the death of her grandmother Sarah Green[3]
On the 30th October 1841, Mary married Charles Ardley at Bocking, Essex, England. Charles Ardley, bachelor, labourer of Bocking, son of Thomas Ardley (labourer) and Mary Green, spinster of Bocking, daughter of William Green (labourer). Witnessed by Isaac Ardley & Mary Ardley. [1]
In 1847 Mary was the informant of the death of her grandfather Richard Green[4]
Mary died 27th August 1895 at Union Workhouse, Bocking, Essex, England, aged 79 years, the widow of Charles Ardley. Cause of death: Fractured thigh (7 weeks) and senile gangrene. Informant: Sarah Jane Nowell, matron, Union Workhouse, Bocking.[6] and was buried 31st August 1895 at All Saints, Stisted, Essex, England.[7]
