GREAY.—On July 29, 1916, in action, previously
reported missing at Posieres, Corporal Herbert and Private Samson Grey of C Company, 28th Battalion, the dearly beloved and only sons of Mr. M. S. Greay, Flinders-street. Leederville, and brothers of Miss A. L. Greay, Leederville.
They answered their country's call. We think of them in silence, their, names we oft recall. There's nothing left to answer But their photos on the wall.

The following extracts, are from a letter received from Sergt. C. J. Skipworth, who is at present convalescing in hospital at Malta, where at time of writing November 11), he expected to spend Christmas:—
On the 30th September or thereabouts we had quite a meeting of Beverley boys. Albert Townsend and King Bellingham came round from Anzac to where we were posted and dug me up. After five or ten minutes I had a "dug out" full of them. There were the two mentioned, Alex. Blechynden, Jack Burgoyne, Eddie Greay, his brother, J. T. Greene, (who used to be at Tom Jones' Hotel) and myself, making eight all told. We spent quite a pleasant couple of hours together
