RE: Gray-7697 and Gray-7698. Sorry, I do not have sources. Back in May I was just getting started on wikitree and was taking the tree info my mother created over 30 years. She did her work during the times of visits to Libraries and looking at microfiche, etc. I have yet to go through her genealogy papers. If I ever find a source I will post it. I defer to your expertise on this line. Teresa

Michael, just saw your response about the Massachusetts Gray lineage. This sort of multiple-eye scrutiny is what I really like about WikiTree collaborations. We hold each other accountable. And, after all, that's what it's all about: making profiles accurate and family trees correct. Thanks for your due diligence. I'll keep plugging away and I know you will, too! :)

Michael, thanks for your note re: John Gray Jr's immigration in 1718. Charles Bolton's exact wording is: "Matthew Gray who came over as a child in 1718 and Robert who came as a youth of twenty-one are both referred to as 'of the Company of immigrants who settled here in 1718.' " (p. 187) Bolton then names the other children, but not in the same sentence as those two above traveling in 1817. I perhaps interpreted this too liberally on such a specific point of arrival!

See footnote for digital text, and I'd be interested in your reading of pp. 187-88.

Cheers, Mark

Hi Michael

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Also noticed you made 457 contributions to Wikitree, thank you!

You may want to add some tags on your page indicating a family name for one tag and a specific location like (country) or ( state) for another tag and then add other surnames or locations as tags as desired. That way you will be connected to others with the same interest.

Click on http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following to add or remove tags. Be sure to add comments explaining why you're following the tags. Those appear on your profile too.

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Here are our WikiTree projects you might like to check out: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Projects .

Hi Michael,

Just a quick PS

Don't forget to Head over to the G2G forum. and take a minute to introduce yourself in the Tree House or ask a question in any of the other categories. There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: for that "special" ancestor who is eluding you.

if you have pre-1700's ancestors to add please read our Pre-1700 profiles info.

Best Wishes, and have fun adding your leaves and branches!
