Biography
Maria Phoebe Gray, born in 1799, was the daughter of Quebec City merchant James Gray and his wife Sarah Wallen.[1]
She married lumber merchant William Petry. They were recorded in the Census of Canada East (Quebec), 1851, living in Quebec City with their three children, a groom and two servants.[2]
She died in 1859 of lockjaw and was buried at Mount Hermon Cemetery.[3]
