Elias Graves was born on 17 February 1794, most likely in Orange County, North Carolina, a son of John Jacob Graves and Anna Dorothea (Coble) Graves. [1]
He married Delila Shofner on 31 March 1820 in Orange County, North Carolina.
Eli died on 10 Sep 1846 at age 52. He was laid to rest in the cemetery at Saint Pauls Lutheran Church in what was then Orange County, North Carolina, known today as close to the city of Burlington in Alamance County, North Carolina, USA.
