Amy Lee Grant was born on 25 November 1960 in Augusta, Richmond County, Georgia, USA and is the daughter of Gloria Dean (Napier, 1931-2011) and Burton Paine Grant (1931-2018).
She is a pioneer of the Contemporary Christian Music genre, having sold 30 million albums over her 3 decades in the business. She has won 22 Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association and had the first Christian album ever to go platinum.
She later crossed over to have success as a pop artist and earned 6 Grammy awards. She also has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
