Roland Dwight Grant was born in Wapping, Connecticut on August 24, 1851. He was the son of Naaman Grant and Sarah Clough.[1][2]
He married Mahala Cordelia Bean at Warner, Merrimack, New Hampshire on June 2, 1874[3] and served as pastor of Second Advent Church in Athol, Massachusetts from 1874 to 1876, then at First Baptist Church in Johnstown, New York from 1876 to 1878. He was also noted as a public speaker. He also served as pastor of the Baptist Church in Poughkeepsie, New York, resigning in 1882. He served as pastor of First Baptist Church in Vancouver, British Columbia from October 1, 1900 to December 1, 1903.[4][5]
At the time of the 1901 Canada Census, Roland, Helen, Annie, and Berona Grant were listed as living in Vancouver, British Columbia.[6]
Roland and his wife left British Columbia on June 5, 1912 for Boston, Massachusetts and then to their summer home in Waterloo, New Hampshire.[7]
Roland died in Concord, New Hampshire on August 21, 1912.[8][9]
Burial location is Blossom Hill Cemetery at Concord, New Hampshire, as per the death record. Interred 24 Aug 1912. Correction sent to FG manager on 31 May 2023.
