Armintha Grant was born about 1800 in South Carolina, United States, daughter of Thomas Franklin Grant (1778–1843) and Sarah Smith (1785–1846).

Armintha (22) married Jesse Fremont Kennedy (32) (born on May 12, 1791 in South Carolina) on July 5, 1823 in Maury, Tennessee. Their children were:

In 1850, Armintha (49) was living in Southern District, Jackson with her husband, Jesse Kennady (59); their daughter, Margaret (10); and Armintha Kennady (48), William Kennady (15), Mary Kennedy (11), Louise Kennedy (8), and Benjaman Kennedy (18). [1]

Armintha died about 1860 in Ava, Jackson, aged about 59.
