Education Harrow and Oriel college
After Marriage 1859 to Susan Ferrier worked in India 1859-1868 at University of Bombay and had 2 children who died
UK Census 1851 at 2 dormer Place, Leamington Priors, Warwickshire with married mother and sister Emily occupation Fellow of Oriel College Held the posts of Vice Chancellor of Bombay university and Principal of Edinburgh University. Grant is remembered at the University of Edinburgh to this day with two buildings named after him: Grant House in Pollock Halls of Residence, and the Grant Institute.
