Research Notes

The birthdate on Tom's military headstone appears to be in error, because it is too close to that his brother, William Arthur's headstone, dated August 1891. The family photograph posted shows a birthdate for Tom of 1889, so that seems more credible. I suggest looking for the 1900 Census, to see what his age was reported then.
