Biography

Beatrix Graham was born around 1615 and was baptised on 7 March 1615 by the George Graham, Bishop of Dunblane in Perth, Perthshire. She was the daughter of John Graham, IVth Earl of Montrose and Margaret (Ruthven) Ruthven, Countess of Montrose[1][2].

Lady Beatrix Graham married David Drummond, 3rd Lord Maderty, the son of John Drummond, 2nd Lord Madderty and and Margaret Leslie by contract dated 10 December 1641[2][3].

Their children were:

  1. Beatrix Drummond
  2. Mary Drummond

Beatrix died on 7 November 1691[3].

Research Notes

George Graham, Bishop of Dunblane is a great grandson of William Graham, 1st Earl of Montrose and his third wife Christian Wawane.

Beatrix' father John Graham is the great great grandson of William Graham, 1st Earl of Montrose but via his first wife Annabella Drummond.

Children:
This profile listed in the Bio, Margaret Drummond as a child of Beatrix and David however Margaret was actually the daughter of David's first wife and has therefore been removed from the child list.
