Biography

Martha was born on 15 August 1860 in Coryell County, Texas. She was the daughter of Isaac Graham and Sarah Ann Kinsey. She passed away on 1 August 1936 in Coryell County, Texas^[1] and is buried in King Cemetery, Coryell County.^[2]

Marriage

Martha married Albert G. Hanes about 1881 in Coryell County, Texas. They had one son Albert Eli Hanes, born 1 October 1882, in Gatesville, Coryell County. Albert G. Hanes passed away in 1883.

Martha married second Nathaniel Thomas Robertson on 11 February 1886 in Coryell County, Texas. Nathaniel was apparently married before. In 1880 he is on the census in Coryell County with wife Amanda E., age 29, and daughters Birdie B., age 3, and Mineola, age 3 mos., b Feb 1880.^[3]

Note: 24 years married is incorrect for Martha. She married Albert Hanes in 1881 and Nathaniel Robertson in 1886. 24 years must apply to Nathaniel when combining his first and second marriages. He married first wife Amanda about 1876. Also Martha, mother of 5 children, 4 living, is incorrect. She and Nathaniel had five children, 4 were living and Alice had died. But she also had a son, Albert E. Hanes, with first husband who has not been included in the count.
