Beatrice Rachael Gragg was born 6 Jun 1864, in Brown County Kansas. Her parents were Henry Carroll Gragg and Susy Ann Smith. Beatrice Rachael Merrill passed away 2 Jul 1960, in Salem, Marion County Oregon.^{[1][2][3][4][5][6]}

She first married Gardner T. Foster 7 Jun 1788 (the day after her 24th birthday). He deserted her about 4 years later leaving he and two young daughters^[7]

26 Dec 1896 she second married Edwin Merrill. She also received her State Teaching Diploma ithat year.^[8]
