Biography

Carl K. Gow, 98, of Leslie, Ark., and formerly of Goodyear, died Sept. 19, 2013, from congestive heart failure and COPD.

Mr. Gow was born Aug. 23, 1915, in Crawford County, Pa., to Ruda Marion Gow and Mabel Diantha Gow.

He was the mayor of Goodyear from 1989 to 1995. He retired from Goodyear Aerospace in 1979 where he was the head machinist of the “Gow Machine Shop.”

He served as a justice of the peace while living in Pennsylvania. He was a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Leslie, Ark.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Helen; and his second wife of 16 years, Elmyra.

He is survived by one son; one daughter; two step-daughters; two step-sons; 20 grandchildren; and 47 great-grandchildren.^[1]
