Fred was born in 1923, in Saugus, Massachusetts.^[1][2] Fred was the son of Fred Gott and Theresa Phillips Cole.^[1][3][4][5]

Fred volunteered at the world headquarters of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society at Brooklyn, New York.^[6]

In 1954, Fred married Jane Harriet Lassonde in Manhattan.^[7][8]

Fred died in 2018, in Johnston, Rhode Island.^[8]
