Please excuse my citation mess. I'm still in a learning curve with the WikiTree formatting. Thanks!

Biography

I have been working on all lines of my ancestors for over 40 years, but never has it been so easy as it has been over the past 15 years with online documents and trees available to peruse. That said, I enjoy my time in archives and in cemeteries, tracking the elusive and the flamboyant.

When I'm not conducting research, I love to write, garden, press weights, practice yoga, and play with my grandsons. I've had a wonderful yet difficult life in many ways, as I am a neurodivergent woman diagnosed with autism as an adult in 2004. That said, I managed to plow through difficulties and mark up some wins with accomplishments such as 13 Colorado Press Association awards in 1995 and the achievement of a master's degree in history in 2005.

Anyone who is interested in my surnames and in history -- please feel free to touch base. If you know more than I do (and all of you usually do), don't hesitate to contact me with your information and citations. That said, I'm learning this format and have committed many errors in formatting (not in information) and input that I will correct in time. I've also learned lately that others will correct me as well.

If you have any questions about what I've posted, don't hesitate to reach out.

Thanks Pam! I visited your page, and obviously I have a lot to learn about this project. I've been conducting research on my family lines for over 40 years. I'm not a certified genealogist, but I have a masters in history, and I focused on my Huguenot ancestors for my thesis. Looking forward to learning more here. Thanks for the welcome!

Thanks for the complement but the best part of WikiTree is that even though we share a tree we are all allowed to do our own thing. IF we had to all do the same it would be boring for me. I am here if you need any help.

Happy Connecting and Welcome again! Pam D.

P.S. You are pretty impressive yourself. I can't wait to see you addions to the tree!
