Thomas, eldest son and heir, who married Anne Paulet, daughter of William Paulet, 3rd Marquess of Winchester, but died without male children leaving two daughters and co-heiresses:[2]
Anne Denys, heiress of Bicton, who married Sir Henry Rolle (died 1616) of Stevenstone in Devon, an ancestor of John Rolle, 1st Baron Rolle (died 1842) and Barons Clinton, the latter of whom restored Livery Dole after the World War II bomb damage. The manors of Bicton, Littleham, Exmouth and East Budleigh passed thereupon to the Rolle family, with whose descendant Baron Clinton, much remains today in 2015, held by Clinton Devon Estates.
Margaret Denys (died 1632), heiress of Holcombe Burnell. In 1613 she married Sir Arthur Mainwaring of Ightfield, Shropshire, who was Carver to Prince Henry, the eldest son of King James I.[8] He sold Holcombe Burnell.
Margaret, wife of Sir Robert Dennis, was noted in the will of her mother in law, Elizabeth Dennys, the will made on 26 May 1561 and proved on 02 Aug 1561.[5]
Research Notes
Margaret Godolphin and her husband Robert Dennis have previously been shown as having other children for whom there is no good evidence:

Hello Lois And Zachary, I have adopted this Profile on behalf of the England Project, thank you for your request Lois. Thank you Lois, and also to Michael Cayley, for all your work in sorting the tangles and duplicates within this family.

Godolphin-70 and Godolphin-12 appear to represent the same person because: Godolphin-70 was clearly created in error, duplicating much of the information for Godolphin-12, two centuries earlier. Both Margarets were daughters of a William Godolphin. But sources are clear that the 14th century William Godolphin-52 had only one daughter, Elinor, his heiress. MargaretGodolphin-70, daughter of William Godolphin-52, did not exist.
I have detached her from the incorrect parents, also the incorrect spouse and daughter, who might or might not have existed in the 14th century but who have the same names as the correct spouse and daughter of the 16th century.
As Godolphin-70 is now quite unconnected, it would be best to merge her with Godolphin-12, which is where the information on her profile comes from. The dates and all data of the profile of Godolphin-12 should be retained.
I am detaching Margaret as spouse of Robert Dennys as well as from her parents, there being no evidence that she ever existed and some evidence that she did not. Her parents seem to have had only the one daughter Elinor, the heir.
I can't find any evidence that Robert Dennys existed, either, or Edmund, and all these profiles are unsourced.
I have proposed merging this profile into that of Margaret Godolphin-12.
Since there are no sources cited for a Phillipa dau of Margaret Godolphin and this Walter Dennis or Denys, but there is a source for Phillipa as the daughter of Margaret and ROBERT Dennis, i have removed Phillipa as Walter's daughter. At the present time there are 4 profiles for Phillipa.
Since there are no sources for Walter at all so far, and thus no sources for his marriage to Margaret, but the Visitations says she was married to Robert Dennis, I have removed the marriage relationship between Margaret and Walter. If someone wants to restore it, with sources, take a look back through the Changes.

It says that the Margaret Godolphin who married Robert Dennis was the daughter of William Godolphin, not of Thomas
