Marriage
George Osborn and Elizabeth Godfree were married by licence at St John the Baptist, Great Rissington, Gloucestershire on 16th January 1860.[1] They were bachelor and spinster and both of full age. George was a farmer living in Charlton on Otmoor, Oxfordshire and the son of James Osborn who was of independent means. Elizabeth was from Great Rissington and the daughter of George Godfree who was a yeoman. They both signed their own names on the register and the witnesses to the marriage were John Bayliss Godfree and Mary Ann Godfree.[2]
