Douglas Goar
Joseph Jefferson Goar fought for the Union in the Civil War. He was enlisted as a private in Company C of the Tenth Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry. He was wounded twice, once in the battle of Mill Springs and once in the battle at Columbia Tennessee. The full history of the Tenth Regiment can be read at babel.hathitrust.org. Search there for "History Tenth Regiment Indiana" and first up you will see the Regimental history.
