Nettie was born at Pontiac, Oakland County, Michigan, 7 November 1855, and died at Durand, Shiawassee County, 16 March 1939; she is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Saginaw.[1] Nettie and David had six children together, all born in Wheeler Township, Fred, Hettie who married Theron Holsinger, Alice who married Roscoe Sanders, William Rufus who married Mary Ann Bell, and Edna and Iva, both of whom lived only a few months before succumbing to cholera. Nettie died after a prolonged illness and was living at 213 West Clinton Street in Saginaw at that time. She suffered from poor circulation and had gangrene of the feet for a year before she died. She lived to be 83 years old.
