Born Frances Elizabeth's birth was recorded under her mother's maiden name of John in 1869.^[1] She was baptised as Frances Elizabeth John on 11 March 1869 at St Thomas, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales. The mother's name was recorded as Letitia John. Her father’s name was not recorded. ^[2]

Marriage

Frances Elizabeth Glass married John Heenan on 12 April 1890 in the Register Office at Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales. The marriage certificate states she was 21 years old, a spinster of Quay Street, Haverfordwest, Her father Alfred Frederick Glass, was a chimney sweep. The certificate describes John Heenan as a bachelor, aged 31, occupied as a mariner in merchant service and living at Quay Street, Haverfordwest. His father, James Heenan, was a labourer. Witnesses at the ceremony were: D Heenan and Phoebe Owens. ^[4]
