Ron Glass was an American actor most famous for his roles as Detective Ron Harris on the sitcom Barney Miller (1975 - 1982) and Shepherd Derrial Book on the tragically short-lived science fiction series "Firefly" and its film sequel "Serenity".[1]

Ronald Glass was born in Evansville, Indiana in 1945. His parents were Crump Glass and Letha Gibson.

He died in 2016 and is buried in Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, California.[2]
