Rosalie Giroux was born on August 11, 1810 in Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Bas-Canada, daughter of Gabriel Giroux (1781– ) and Marie Catherine Turcot (1773–1847). She was baptized there the following day. [1]
Rosalie (36) married Pierre Elie (45) (born March 2, 1801 in Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce; son of Joseph (Elie) Elie dit Breton (1771–1833) and Marie Louise Poulin (1769–1850)) on January 26, 1847 in Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Canada-Est. [2]Their daughter was Philomène Elie (1848–1917).
