Alphonse Girandy was a United States Navy sailor and a recipient of America's highest military decoration, the Medal of Honor, which he received in 1902 for saving his fellow crew members when a fire broke out onboard the USS Petrel.
Alphonse was born about 1869. He passed away in 1941.
