Biography

James was born about 1779. He was the son of Charles Gilliam and Elizabeth Patteson. He passed away in 1838.

He married Sarah "Sally" McKinney on 30 July 1800 in Campbell County.

He should not be confused with James Gilliam son of John Gilliam and Elizabeth Bennett of Albemarle who married Susanna Penn on 18 Aug 1794 in Amherst.

Died on June 21, James GILLIAM of Lynchburg. His wife died a few weeks ago [six months ago, sic].[1]
