Arthur Henry Guildford Gillam was born on 3 January 1907 in Cranbrook, Western Australia.[1] He was the son of Edward Thomas and Louisa Sounness.
Arthur married Janet Thomson Meney in 1929 in Albany, Western Australia.[2]
Arthur enlisted on 22 January 1942 and was called up for Full Time Duty on 9 April 1942.[3]
He embarked the USAT Seabarb on 16 June 1945 from Brisbane, Australia for Morotai. On 31 July 1945 Arthur arrived at Morotai for service at Balik Papan.[4]
Arthur died on 19 October 1971, aged 64, in Albany, Albany City, Western Australia, Australia.[5] He was buried in the Presbyterian section at Allambie Park Cemetery, Albany, Albany City, Western Australia, Australia.[6]
