  • (2) Henry Gilbert 'of York' died in 1711 and left behind a wife named Ann and 3 children (George Gilbert, Henry Gilbert, and Ezekiel Gilbert), and
  • (3) George Gilbert died in 1723 leaving behind a wife named Sarah and without a will.

Link between Burfoot to Henry Gilbert of York's family: On 6 Sept 1736, Thomas Burfoot was summoned to appear in York County Court and asked to bring with him Henry Gilbert, George Gilbert, and Sarah Gilbert orphans under his care. The current assumption is that these Gilberts would be the kids of George Gilbert based on naming pattern (Henry Gilbert after his fathers father, George Gilbert after his father, and Sarah Gilbert after her mother). This Henry Gilbert being an orphan still in 1736 would also fit the potential date of birth for Henry Gilbert 'of Hanover'.
