Martha was born in 1868 in Chalvey, Slough, Berkshire. Her birth was registered in the 4th Qtr of 1868 in the district of Eton.

In 1901, Martha was living with her widowed mother and unmarried sister, Hilda. They were all running the family laundry together.

Martha and William had three children: one son, Edward and two daughters, Jessie and Hilda.

In 1911, Martha was living with her husband and children in Chalvey.

Martha passed away in 1919 in Slough, Berkshire, aged 50. Her death was registered in the 2nd Qtr of 1919 in the Eton district.
