Biography

Albert was born in 1881. He was the son of George Gheringher and Eva Sebald.^[1]

His father's Will refers to him as George Albert Gehringer, but all other available records refer to him only as Albert Gehringer.

Albert's father died in 1883, and his mother married Michael Meier (1856-1923) in 1884.

The 1894 Michigan State Census^[2] shows him at age 12 in the home of his mother and step father in Monitor Township, Bay County, Michigan.

The 1900 Census^[3] shows him at age 18, working as a servant in the home of George and Anna Reichard in Frankenlust Township, Bay County, Michigan.

The 1910 Census^[4] shows him (erroneously) at age 37 in the home of his brother, Leonard Gehringer.

His WWI Draft Registration Card^[5] confirms his birth date and spelling of Gehringer. It also reveals that he is of medium height and build, and has blue eyes and brown hair. Further it states that his brother, Leonard Gehringer, is his nearest relative.

He died in 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan.^[6] His death certificate states that he is single.
