I am William Milton Garrison-- call me Milton, my mom did. I was named for my two grandfathers. I am descended from Stephen Garrison 1757-1841 a Revolutionary War Soldier. He is buried in the five grave Garrison-Payne Cemetery in Winston County, Al. I am descended from his son Redden. Stephen was living with his son Silas when he died and was blind for the last year of his life. I have had my DNA tested and my families Haplogroup is E-L117. A cousin has also been tested. Additionally testing revealed three other cousins who had been tested in Mo. and other states.. We are as yet unable to find the personal connection that links my family group to their family groups.

Hi Milton, in reference to your G2G question, have you been in contact with the project manager? We can't change parents on project protected profiles.

Hi Milton

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great!

Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors?

Let me know. I can help you figure out if there's a project and introduce you to the project leaders.

Thanks for the info on Garrison Haplogroups! I will build out what I can on the Garrison side of my family soon and maybe you will recognize someone.

The new designation for Jim Garrison's (Garrison-1347) Haplogroup is E-L117. I would change it if I could figure out how. Myself and another Alabama Garrison match Jim and three others of the Missouri Garrison bunch at the 67 marker level. We just do not know the individual that the two groups have in common but we continue to search.
