Biography

Marie Agnès Garnier was born on 31 Mar 1700 and was baptized the next day in Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité parish in Beauport. She was the daughter of Charles Garnier and his wife Jeanne Angélique Maheu. Godparents at Marie Agnès's baptism were Pierre Garnier, son of Charles Garnier, and Marie Agnès Vezina, daughter of François Vezina. At age 17 Marie Agnès married Jean-Baptiste Giroux on 28 Feb 1718 in Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité. parish in Beauport. Marie AgAgnèsnes died at age 65 on 25 May 1765; she was buried in Saint-Philippe parish cemetery in La Prairie.
