— 26 April 1607: An Alice Garment, bapt. at Batcombe, dau. of Richard.
— 9 June 1623: An Alice Garment, m. at Shepton Mallet, wife of John Whitmarsh.
— Most brides married in their native parish.
— Most brides married about age 21.
— In the absence of compelling evidence, there is no reason to assume that the 1607 and 1623 events pertain to the same Alice Garment.

Research Notes
Most sources have Alice born in 1607, but FamilySearch trees have it between 1598 and 1602. Her eldest son was born ca. 1622 and her second son in March of 1624. This should make us suspicious of her purported April 1607 birth date.
Alice was possibly (but doubtfully) the daughter of Richard Garment and was baptized on 26 APR 1607 in Batcombe, Somerset, England.[6]
