Parkman Gardner Jr is a part of US Black heritage.

Parkman was born about 1838 in Boston, Massachusetts.. He was the son of Parkman S Gardner and Mary Mathews.

In the 1850 census Parkman (age 14) was in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine, United States. He appears to be living with his mother and a stepfather, Benjamin Harris, and brother Jerome.[1]

In the 1860 census Parkman (age 23), Hoister, was in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine. He appears to be living with his mother, Mary.[2]

Parkman served in the Union Navy and also the Union Army during the Civil War.[3][4]

In the 1870 census Parkman (age 28), Common Laborer, was in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine.[5]

In the 1880 census Parkman (age 42), Laborer, was the married head of household in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine, United States. Wife Mary, no children at home.[6]

Parkman (age 45), son of Samuel Gardner & Mary Ann Mathews, married Mary S Chambers on 2 September 1896 in Portland, Cumberland, Maine, United States. It was the second marriage for both.[7]

In the 1900 census Parkman, Sailor, was the married head of household in Portland, Cumberland, Maine.[8]

Parkman, son of Parkman S Gardner & Mary A Gardner, died on 13 December 1909 in Augusta, Kennebec, Maine, United States.[9]
