Biography

Josephine was born in 1883. On her first passport application (photo on back)[1] the purpose was listed as tourist trip to France, Italy, and Switzerland. The trip was to begin on Oct. 18, 1923 aboard the Rochambeau.

As a supporting document included with the passport application a notarized letter from Ida B Chalmers, step-mother of Henry B Chalmers (aka Harry father of Henry B Chalmers Jr). Miss Christina Chalmers was also witness to the marriage of Henry and Josephine at Quogue, N.Y. on June 2nd, 1908. Christina was the sister of James the father of Henry B Chalmers.

She is buried near her parents and siblings in the cemetery at Quogue, New York,
