Other names I am interested in are on my Grandmother's parents (Streeter/Silvester/Adams/ Nunn/ many more) and adopted parents (Suiter/ Willson/ Coffins/Starbuck) I have done a DNA TEST on Ancestry.com I have a tree and it is just how my DNA Matches connect to me the tree is at : :https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/tree/169466714/family?cfpid=142196979143 any cousins out there Hi..
I am interested in the Volga German and Black Sea Germans also the Black Forest area of Germany.
Since having my DNA done I have been mostly working on how they are related to me.
Both of my parents have ancestors from Germany, also France,England. A third cousin did a Family tree of the Gammel's back to Scotland in the early 1600's but after she passed away all her work was lost, so I would like to confirm this but I need to Work on the German side to get there. My mothers side (a family story passed down) says the Schaan/ Schan side come from France, and that a scholar went to Germany and they couldn't pronounce his name T-Schaan so the Germans just Called he Schaan. Would like to Prove this also. The Schaans who went from Russia to the States and Canada in the 1800's dropped the a in Schaan to Schan. My family thinks I'm nuts for working on my Family tree ,but I think it is Very Interesting to see where my Ancestor come from and how they live

I'm from Portland, Oregon! I'm from the part of the family that went from Le Claire to Nebraska, and then later some of my family moved to Oregon.

PS Have you noticed that you can click on Tags to see others interested in that surname, or location?
There is a small error on the German Roots Sticker template. [[German Roots Sicker}} Since this profile is locked, would you be willing to make the correction? The syntax requires double curly brackets at both ends. Check your suggestions in the drop-down menu under the profile. Let me know if you need any help. Best, Linda
Thank you for joining the Germany Project. I just want to let you know that you have misspelt Germany for the tag. You will need to correct to get all the updates on your wikitree news and activity feeds.
Kind regards, Kylie ~ Germany Project leader
Thanks for having a big heart and adopting the Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up GEDCOM biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Thanks for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Collaboration is essential because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.
It looks like the Germany Project would be a good fit based on your interests. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

I am very pleased to welcome you to the WikiTree family, your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.
It is best to start with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
Thank you for adding your DNA to WikiTree. Getting the Best from DNA will tell you more about how DNA kits are used on WikiTree.
Happy tree climbing
