Biography
Sir James Gambier was a member of a prominent British family and was descended from a French Huguenot, Nicholas Gambier.
James, child of James Gambier & Jenny Gambier, was born on 15 February 1772 and baptised on 13 March 1772 in Marylebone, Middlesex, England.[1]
He was the father of an illegitimate son, James FitzJames.
