Uchtred (22 Sep 1174), is the son of Fergus, Lord of Galloway. His mother was Elizabeth, who may have been the illegitimate daughter of Henry I of England.[1] However, despite the numerous claims and files extracted from Ancestry.com, there appears to be no documentation confirming the parents of Uchtred's mother. The Foundation for Medieval Genealogy lists no last name for the wife of Fergus, mother of Uchtred.[2]
He married Gunhild of Dunbar.[3]
Uctred was murdered in home at Loch Fergus by his brother, Gilbert.[1] (alternative from death location: killed at Loch Fergus by nephew Malcolm, son of Gilbert, his brother).[4]
