Biography

Ebenezer Gale was born on 4 June 1686[1][2], in Watertown, MIddlesex, Massachusetts. He was the son of Abraham and Sarah Gale. Ebenezer married Elizabeth Green on December 27, 1709[3], in Watertown, MIddlesex, Massachusetts.

Before May of 1733, Ebenezer bought land in Oxford in Worcester County, Massachusetts. Having experienced a financial setback, he put this land in the hands of his son-in-law (husband of daughter Prudence) Jonathan Kinney while Ebenezer then went to fight in the French War, Canadian Campaign leaving his wife in the care of Kinney.

In 1755, Ebenezer deeded his land to his son Ebenezer.

Note

The George Daniels source claims that Ebenezer's sister Mary (b. abt. 1689) married Micah Pratt (b. 1708) but that Mary is 19 years older than Micah and she couldn't have been giving birth until 1752 at 63 years of age.
